Core FAQs
1. What is SchoolhouseTeachers.com?
SchoolhouseTeachers.com is a comprehensive, parent-led homeschool curriculum platform for the entire family.
We provide hundreds of courses across all grade levels—preschool through high school—along with planning tools, record keeping, and support resources to help you teach your children at home with confidence.
You choose what to use, set the pace, and adapt everything to fit your family.
2. What is iST (Interactive SchoolhouseTeachers)?
iST stands for Interactive.SchoolhouseTeachers.com.
It is our interactive lesson platform, where a growing selection of courses is available in a dynamic, online format. These lessons may include activities such as quizzes, drag-and-drop exercises, and instant feedback tools—all designed to help students stay engaged and reinforce learning.
Parents can track progress and grades within the platform.
3. What are Schoolhouses and ST Communities?
Schoolhouses are local and online communities where families use SchoolhouseTeachers.com together in a more structured setting, such as co-ops, groups, or learning environments.
ST Communities provide additional connection and encouragement through our online member group. Look for us on Facebook!
Both offer ways to connect with other families while still allowing you to remain fully in control of your homeschool.
4. Are you accredited?
No. Accreditation applies to schools—not curriculum providers like SchoolhouseTeachers.com. As a homeschool parent, you remain in control of your child’s education, including how courses are used, evaluated, and documented. SchoolhouseTeachers.com includes recordkeeping tools to help you do exactly that.
5. Are you aligned with Common Core?
No. SchoolhouseTeachers.com is not aligned with Common Core standards.
We believe children learn best when education is individualized, not standardized. Our courses are designed to give parents the flexibility to teach according to their child’s needs, pace, and goals.
6. What is your worldview? Are you Christian?
Yes. SchoolhouseTeachers.com is a Christian homeschool curriculum.
Our content is developed from a Biblical worldview and presents God as Creator. We support families who want their children’s education to reflect their faith. At the same time, parents remain in full control of how each course is used within their home.
7. Can this be my full curriculum, or is it a supplement?
Yes. Many families use SchoolhouseTeachers.com as their complete curriculum, while others use it to supplement what they are already doing.
All materials are accessed online, with lessons available to view or print as needed. Some courses may recommend books, often available through the library, and a few upper-level courses require a purchased text.
You have the flexibility to choose what works best for your family.
8. Can my whole family use one membership?
Yes. Your membership covers your entire immediate family.
You can use the program with multiple children, across multiple grade levels, at the same time—at no additional cost per student.
