Allena Lee thinks of math as a maze. At the beginning, every turn seems to lead to a dead end, but with effort and a good map on hand, you will soon find a way out. The process might be slow and tedious sometimes, but it is definitely rewarding at the end. She finds it satisfying to be able to provide the map through this maze.
Allena has homeschooled her two sons since 2003 and graduated her elder son two years ago. This year is her last, as she is homeschooling her younger son in 12th grade. It has been a rewarding journey for her, and she is glad not to have missed those curriculum researching, hunting, twitching, and planning times.
Allena never dreamt of writing a course, never dreamt of moving to Canada, never dreamt of homeschooling, but here she is. She obtained a Bachelor of Science degree many, many years ago. She wrote Algebra 1 for SchoolhouseTeachers.com and is currently working part time in math assistance as well as working on a Pre-calculus course for SchoolhouseTeachers.com. She plans to go back to school after graduating her younger son.
