Cynthia L. Simmons is the mother of five and retired president of Christian Authors Guild. Imperfect and down to earth, she uses her experience to model God’s grace for all who accept and speaks from the heart of a spiritual mom.

She hosts Heart of the Matter Radio and her podcast, Thinking Deeper, releases new episodes every Thursday evening, encouraging women worldwide who seek the elegance of God’s wisdom.

Fond of the times past, she writes both historical fiction and nonfiction, while combining history and scripture to minister to women of all ages. However, she has a special place in her heart for homeschool mothers.

While she loves writing—books, blogs, articles, and notes—Cynthia also enjoys traveling around the nation speaking at homeschool events, bookstores, libraries, and churches. Plus, she conducts writing workshops and leads retreats.

Cynthia is a huge fan of tea, sugar, the color purple, orchids, her community of friends, and ballroom dancing with her husband.
