Courses Taught by Bonnie Rose:

All About the World introduces students to continents, capitals, landforms and biomes, major lakes and rivers, mountain ranges, political boundaries, and more. Students can have fun completing a range of activities including matching, decoding puzzles, multiple choice, map work, and even an international traders’ challenge.

Asia: Trade Route Safari is a study of the countries that travelers would have visited along parts of the Silk Road, the Spice Route, and the Incense Road. Your student will visit more than thirty countries, be given an overview of the history, and meet an animal native to each country. Students will meet the people and gain an understanding of the country’s openness to Christianity.

Asia: Its People and History brings your student a glimpse of what it is like to be a Christian in seven of the countries of Asia.  This class uses short stories, nonfiction accounts, worksheets, puzzles, and games to bring this information to the student, with the hope that the student will recognize the need to pray for the persecuted in Asia and around the world.

Everyday Copywork brings your student penmanship practice, in both print and cursive, through copying Bible portions, excerpts of literature, foreign language selections, and much more. There are many different lengths, and the copywork varies in difficulty, so it is suitable for many ages.

Fun with Memorization: This unit will help you teach 15 poems, rhymes, and Scripture passages to young children. It is designed for kindergarten but can easily be used with children in grades K-2 with some slight modifications to some of the activities. Memorization and recitation are great tools to help children learn to follow directions and to speak clearly, as well as begin to develop important habits that will aid them with their studies as they grow older.

The Multiplication Workshop is a step-by-step guide to learning or practicing multiplication tables using written problems, manipulatives, flash cards, word problems, and speed drills. The 160 worksheets spend the most time working on the concept of multiplication and learning the 1-12 times tables. As a bonus at the end of the workshop, multiplication with multiple-digit numbers is introduced.

Schoolhouse Spelling: Choose from seven word lists each week to practice spelling and vocabulary on age-appropriate levels. A wide range of spelling and vocabulary skills are explored through engaging activities and puzzles. Flashcard videos are included for Pre-K/K and Lower Elementary visual learners.
