Cindi Allison is a homeschooling mother of 6 boys. She and her husband have been homeschooling for the past seven years, and really enjoy being able to learn as a family. A year ago, they adopted their oldest son internationally, and started looking for ways to make subjects easier for someone with a more limited English vocabulary. Using picture books became such a fun and interesting way to teach and learn.
American History in Picture Books is a series of history studies based on picture books. It is designed for young, struggling, or ESL readers. Each study includes activities and discussion questions, and some units also include suggested vocabulary. Multiple books are suggested for each topic.
