Welcome to Red Wagon Biology for High School! These lessons are designed for use with the 2nd edition course texts, but those course texts are not required. These lessons can be used as a stand-alone course. However, if the student has access to the 2nd edition course texts, it will enhance the course.

The number of organisms in kingdom _______________ that live in your gut and on your skin is larger than the number of cells in your body! Thus, even though microorganisms are small, they are an important part of life on earth.

A _______________ cell is a cell that has no distinct, membrane-bound organelles. Many biologists now used the name Kingdom Prokaryota instead of Monera for these organisms.
