Curious Science includes eighteen themes that combine science with language arts, math, art, Bible, and even history. This unit study approach to homeschooling is designed to be flexible to meet your individual needs!

Getting Started with Our Curious Science Homeschool Course

The Curious Science homeschool course is a series of eighteen comprehensive unit studies designed for elementary students. The majority of the work is perfect for homeschool students in 3rd-4th grade. Each homeschool science unit also includes some activities for younger and older students as well. Through studies of pufferfish, slime eels, dung beetles, fire ants, quicksand, and more, students explore language arts, math, science, art, Bible, and history. Each Curious Science homeschool course unit study is divided into twenty daily segments but can be adjusted to meet individual schedules.

  • Includes downloadable lessons, vocabulary lists, copywork, reviews, activities, answer keys, and suggested reading lists

Supplies Needed

Corresponding lessons on SchoolhouseTeachers.com; printer to print out the units. Many involve worksheet and activities to complete; “Extra Activities” at the end of each unit require various art supplies and Internet access. Instructors might want to look ahead at these activities while planning; journal for notetaking and research (Reader’s Response Notebook)

What to Do

Go to Class Lessons and download the lesson plan and lessons file. Start with the Day 1 reading assignment. Follow the instructions each day on the lesson plan and check them off when completed.
