Stacey Lotshaw is a homeschooling mom of two. She taught in public schools for ten years after graduating from Grand Canyon University with her elementary and special education degrees. She specialized in teaching students with emotional and behavioral disorders. During that time, she received master’s degrees in both School Counseling and Special Education.

Two years after marrying her husband, they decided to adopt, and in 2004, they traveled to China and brought home their oldest daughter. Little did they know that they traveled to China pregnant, and in less than 9 months, this family of two grew to a family of four. Stacey left teaching in public schools to stay home and has since worked in both the charter and virtual school systems. She has homeschooled her two daughters from the very beginning. She is passionate about helping struggling learners and assisting families with creating the best learning environment that will meet their unique child’s needs.

Course taught by Stacey

Understanding Sensory Processing Disorders is a series of articles that enables parents to better understand their children’s sensory processing disorders (SPDs) and set them up to succeed instead of fail. It looks at what SPDs are and are not and how parents can help children excel, as well as offering plenty of encouragement for parents along the way.
