Welcome to our JRR Tolkien Christian Literature Course.
Have you ever considered the Biblical questions raised in The Lord of the Rings? Christian Values in J.R.R. Tolkien ponders the Biblical perspectives presented in six of Tolkien’s works. This advanced eighteen-week literature course delves into classic and well-known novels such as The Hobbit, The Fellowship of the Ring, and The Return of the King, as well as essays and a biography. Eleventh- and twelfth-grade students study Christian values seen in Tolkien through writing assignments, journal entries, short papers, and a term paper.
