How to Use This Course
Creating Dynamic Characters is a three-week mini-unit focusing on how to create memorable characters in fiction. Through a series of questions, reflections, and digging deeper, writers will be encouraged to get to know the heart of their characters and how to connect them with the hearts of their readers.
An interesting, three-dimensional character is one of the four elements of dynamic story writing.
If you have the other three elements, which are setting, plot, and theme, but are missing a great character, your story will fall flat, and it will not be the best it can be. In this mini-unit, we will focus on the main character, also known as the protagonist. However, the lesson can be applied to minor characters as well and even to the antagonist, or the villain.
