How to Use This Course
Everyday Explorers: Canada is an elective course that allows the student to study interesting facts about Canada and its history. Each month, a different province or territory will be visited. There are activities, interesting facts, and links that will help the student virtually explore the areas being discussed in the day’s lesson. Map work is included as distances traveled are calculated and the weather is logged in the different areas. Activities are included for all grade levels so any age student can benefit from this course. Answer keys are included where appropriate.
This feature will lead your family in exploring one of the territories or provinces of Canada throughout the month. Each week is broken into three parts.
Days One through Four: We will study various locations within our host region.
Day Five: This day will allow the student time to record some of the information they have discovered on charts (logs) that will be used at the end of the month. So, grab your map and your adventurer’s spirit, pick a province, and get started!
And, DON’T MISS our Campfire Stories throughout the year filled with games, worksheets, recipes, and more to help you review all the amazing places you’ve explored!
Monthly units take students across Canada, exploring historic locations. Activities are provided for Kindergarten-2nd grade, 3rd-6th grade, and 7th-12th grade.
